First half strikes from Elliot Benyon, his third goal in three games, and debutant Omar ‘OJ’ Koroma lifted Stones to 9th place – their highest ever Conference South placing.
Koroma, with international clearance granted on Friday, was finally ready to make his competitive blues debut and the live-wire Gambian didn’t disappoint when he smashed home Wealdstone’s second in the 36th minute. It was a performance eclipsed only by Danny Green, the former-Margate man tormented his old employers all afternoon – assisting both goals in the process. Green was rightly awarded the coveted ‘man of the match’ tagline for his efforts.
