Wealdstone will be hoping for an immediate return to winning ways on Monday night as they entertain Weston-super-Mare in the National League South.
Fresh from Saturday’s disappointing draw, Bartlett’s boys will be aiming to record their second home win of the season but September has not been kind to Wealdstone in recent campaigns with the blues winning just one home league fixture in this calendar month over the past four seasons (Thamesmead, 2-0; 21 Sept 2013).
In Weston they face a side in National South free fall with the visitors currently on the worst losing streak in the division having lost their last four. With both sides conceding 11 apiece it’ll be in attack where the main battle of the evening will be contested with two of the league’s sharpshooters on display.
Having netted a brace on Saturday ex-Torquay United striker Elliot Benyon has earned rave reviews from the Stones faithful. The striker looked lively and ended a mini-three game goal drought having scored in each of the first four matches. At the other end of the pitch Bristol City loanee Shawn McCoulsky will be earmarked as the man to watch for the Stones backline. The striker has impressed for the Seagulls and stands level with Benyon on six league goals.
Weston have recent history on their side in this fixture and in nine previous meetings have never lost away at Wealdstone.
