Gosport to face Stones in #MNF

29th November 2015

Monday night football sees Gosport Borough arrive at the freebets.co.uk stadium to face the blues as both teams return to league action following Saturday’s trophy football where there were contrasting results for the sides. Wealdstone strolled to a comfortable, if uninspiring victory, over Met Police at Imber Court – any puns about nicking a result put to bed by the relative ease in which the Stones brushed their Surrey opponents aside, though there was some disappointment that a match in the famous Trophy could only attract a meagre 152 spectators…

Gosport meanwhile were suffering a black Friday hangover, Cirencester front-man Charlie Griffin putting the 2014 Trophy finalists to the sword with an impressive double to stun Boro. The visitors are enjoying a good spell of league form, however, winning their last three – a run of consecutive victories bettered only by Concord (4).

Match postponed. Revised date: Monday 18 January 2016.
